Due to the block like structure of crushed glass rather than the rounded profile sand offers, this recycled glass product offers better filtration and shorter backwash times reducing water use. The smoother surface of the grain particles reduces the possibility of Bio-Fouling in the filter itself. This can reduce the need for multiple doses of algicide chemicals.  This product also offers longer service times over sand and is more user friendly when compared to the dangers of a silica sand based product.  

 

Produced in the UK this recycled product is 100% clean and safe for all swimming pool filtration application were sand would have been used.

Manufactured from recycled glass in one of the largest plants of this nature in the UK. Environmentally friendly this recycled safe product would have otherwise gone to landfill waste.
